Wave Pool is an experimental art space offering an array of programs that integrate the community’s knowledge of its own needs with artists’ vision and sense of possibility. Wave Pool facilitates organic exchange between staff members, artists, curators in residence, and community members to nurture mutually beneficial projects supporting positive change. The Welcome Project storefront embodies Wave Pool’s socially engaged vision by establishing retail and exhibition opportunities for immigrant and refugee artists, forging meaningful connections and dynamic artistic exchange. Wave Pool is recognized for supporting vital social practice art projects that expand beyond the walls of its galleries and considers itself a long-term social practice project guided by values of optimism, experimentation, community, listening, and service.
