Primary Information: The Collected Writings of Tony Conrad
New York, New York
In February 2019, Primary Information will release The Collected Writings of Tony Conrad, a new anthology of out-of-print and previously unpublished texts by the renowned multidisciplinary artist. The collection includes 40 texts from throughout Conrad’s life, along with accompanying images that document the artist’s work. Supported through a VIA Incubator Grant The Collected Writings of Tony Conrad will serve as the first-ever volume devoted to the artist’s writings, making available an important collection of previously inaccessible materials spanning from the 1960s to the present decade. The release of the book coincides with the 2018 exhibition “Introducing Tony Conrad: A Retrospective,” which is traveling to various exhibition spaces including Albright-Knox Art Gallery, University at Buffalo Art Gallery, MIT List Visual Arts Center, Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University, as well as to the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania.
